A client may detect a strong signal while the channel is overloaded or co-channel interference makes airtime scarce. Design around expected devices, concurrency and application behaviour rather than assuming that visible signal equals acceptable service.
Buildings change RF behaviour
Concrete, metal, glass, racking, machinery and fire doors affect propagation differently. Predictive design provides a starting point, while onsite validation reveals attenuation and interference that drawings alone cannot represent accurately.
Placement affects the whole channel plan
An access point installed for convenience can create overlap and contention for surrounding cells. Mounting position, transmit power, channel width and channel reuse must be considered as one design rather than configured independently on each device.
Validate after installation
Post-deployment surveying confirms that the implemented network matches the design and exposes installation changes, unexpected interference or coverage gaps. Keep the survey output as part of the operational record for future expansion and troubleshooting.
