A strong signal does not guarantee a good network

Users can have excellent signal strength while experiencing poor throughput or unstable calls. Channel contention, interference, overloaded radios, client behaviour and upstream switching can all create problems that look like weak coverage.

Design for users and applications

Voice, video, handheld scanners, guest traffic and high-density collaboration spaces create different requirements. Access point quantity and placement should reflect expected concurrency, device capability and roaming behaviour as well as building geometry.

Validate after installation

Predictive models are useful, but real buildings contain materials and interference sources that plans do not always capture. Post-install validation confirms coverage, channel behaviour and client experience. Monitoring should then detect degradation after the project is complete.
